Zelený Les is a protected conservation site under the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. It is located in the Catskill/Delaware Watershed, an area that provides the majority of New York City’s drinking water. Approximately 70 acres of the land is made up of evergreen plantation stands and mixed-growth forest with an extensive network of walking trails. Kidd Brook, a tributary of the Delaware River, divides the property into western and eastern halves. Acreage east of this stream consists of open fields and wetlands. Encircled by thick stands of trees and century-old stone walls, it is home to a pristine, spring-fed pond. Residents are housed in a gracious, private home close to the main road.
