Welcome to the first artist residency update for our 2015 season! Greg Lookerse, one of five artists we hosted earlier this June, has recently published documentation of work created on the land as part of his own midsummer update.
Originally from California, Greg is an interdisciplinary artist who has been practicing since 2009. During his residency, he brought his interest in literary texts to a new 8-day performance, Searching for a Honey Tree After Thoreau. In addition, he located other site-specific works in the woods, by Kidd Brook, and in the hidden field. He also examined how hand-treated objects from the land interacted with the elements.
